Town Office Reopening June 1, 2020

Town office will be opening for public access on June 1, 2020. Employees will be wearing protective masks and customers are strongly encouraged to wear masks also. Only one person will be allowed at the counter at a time and one person may wait in the hallway. Any other customers will have to wait outside of the town office until a customer exits the building. There will be signs in place to inform customers of safety measures that need to be taken, such as; allowing 6 feet from any other customer waiting in the building, wearing protective masks, and using hand sanitizer immediately upon entering the Clerk’s office.

The Town of Easton is now enrolled in the State of Maine’s Rapid Renewal Program. If you would like to renew your vehicle online, please visit our website at and go to online services. The link for “Renew Motor Vehicles” will take you to the Rapid Renewal site. There is a $3.00 portal fee to use this service and a credit card fee based on 2.07% of your excise tax will be charged. You may also renew your vehicle through the Easton Town Office by mailing a photocopy of your registration, insurance card, mileage, phone number and a check for the amount of the registration which you can get by calling the Town Office at 488-6652 or emailing Cheryl at [email protected] unless your registration is under suspension or you are required to file an SR22 certificate of insurance with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Your registration will be mailed back to you.

As the Governor’s Proclamation of Emergency is still in effect, all registrations that expire during this state of emergency including; motor vehicles, trailers, all-terrain vehicles, watercraft or snowmobiles, including temporary registration, and dog licenses, are extended until 30 days following the termination of the state of emergency.
