Notary Public Services

The Town Clerk provides Notary Public services free of charge to residents of Easton.

The Town Clerk does not perform marriages.  To find a list of Maine Notaries click here.

The Town Clerk does not provide notary services for mortgage closings, as these take a considerable amount of time to complete. Check the local banks for this type of service.

For notarizations, the Town Clerk will require a current picture ID, such as a driver's license or State ID card. For minors who do not have a driver's license or State ID, the Town Clerk will accept a certified birth certificate plus either a signed social security card or a current signed hunting/fishing license.

Do not sign until the Town Clerk sees the document. The document MUST be printed in the English language.
